Five Famous Christmas Day Dips

Fancy doing something a bit different on Christmas Day? Fed up of Turkey? Then swap it for Goose (pimples) instead!

Why not don your Speedos, wetsuit, swim cap (x2 for warmth), goggles or even fancy dress and hardily head off to one of these annual festive swimming events. Taking part in or being a spectator at one of these displays of English eccentricity is bound to make 2009 a Christmas to remember.

The Peter Pan Cup Christmas Morning Handicap Swim

Members of the Serpentine Swimming Club swim all year round and on Christmas morning they hold a 100 yard race. You must be a member of the club and have taken part in the entire Winter series as to swim without acclimatisation could prove fatal!
