Last year when we were asked to provide snorkelling equipment for the Big Brother 10 Bog Snorkelling Task we had a moment of clear vision before the masks were splattered with mud! Why not become the sponsor of the World Bog Snorkelling Championships in 2010?
Well, we are wallowing in delight that this came to pass and FunSwimShop are officially the sponsor of the wackiest weekend in British sport!
Every August bank holiday, hundreds of hardy competitors and their muddy buddies from all over the world descend on Llanwrtyd Wells in Powys, mid Wales for this fun-tastic display of British eccentricity.
Armed with their sense of humour as well as the essential mask, snorkel and flippers, competitors must complete two consecutive lengths of a 60 yard bog trench using flipper power alone.
The FunSwimShop World Bog Snorkelling Championship is open to anyone over the age of 14 who is prepared to get down and dirty and make a splash on the Bog Snorkelling scene. The fastest times are recorded in the Guinness Book of Records.
This event is Seriously Fun and we hope the FunSwimShop World Bog Snorkelling Championship will be the most successful ever!
